Red light therapy (RLT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses a combination of red and near-infrared light to promote healing and improve the appearance of skin and other parts of the body. It's also known as photobiomodulation, low-level laser therapy, or cold laser therapy. These specific wavelengths can penetrate the skin and reach cells, where they stimulate various processes.
Red light tends to affect the surface of the skin, aiding with things like wound healing and reducing inflammation. Near-infrared light penetrates deeper, assisting with muscle recovery and reducing pain. Both types are often used together in therapies to promote healing, reduce pain, and improve overall well-being. Our Red light therapy device emits red light into the skin as you lay beneath the panel. The light is absorbed by mitochondria in the cells, which then produce more energy. This increased energy helps cells repair themselves and restore function.
Our machine has two wavelengths, so cancer survivors are able to turn off the near-infrared and still experience the benefits.
Some really neat research is coming out for the combination of Red Light and BEMER concurrent sessions, which we are set up to offer.
